Before joining the administration at Dana-Farber, Ms. Puhy was the chief financial officer for New England Medical Center Hospitals, Inc. She has also served as a health care consultant for the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young and as director of the Hospital Bureau for the Massachusetts Rate Setting Commission.
Ms. Puhy chairs the MASCO (Medical Academic and Scientific Community Organization, Inc.) Finance Committee and is a member of both the Finance and Audit board committees of the Controlled Risk Insurance Company.
She is chairman of the Boston Organization of Teaching Hospital Financial Officers and former chairman of the board of the Crittenton Hastings House, where she is still a member of its Finance Committee.
In addition, Ms. Puhy is a lecturer in financial management at Harvard School of Public Health.
