Microsoft Lync 2010 Instructions to Login and Install

In Windows XP- Go to Start – All Programs – SPH Network Applications – Software Downloads – Install MS Lync.

In Windows 7 – Go to Start – All Programs – SPH Network Applications – Lync

Your Sign-in address is Outlook Username(3+3)@university.harvard.edu and then click Sign in.

Note: Your Sign-in address and username will not affect your email address.

Microsoft Lync will now ask you for a username and password.  The username will be the same as your Sign-in address and the password will be your Outlook password.  Note: You can change whether or not you want Lync to remember your password by checking or unchecking the Save my password box.

Clicking “start here” (located on the bottom right) will open up a basic tutorial of Microsoft Lync.  If you wish to skip this you can click the ‘X’ in the upper right hand corner.

Make sure to check the box that says “Always trust this server, do not show me this again” and then click Connect.

Congratulations you have successfully logged into Microsoft Lync!
