Viswanath Lab - Dr. Viswanath’s research group is interested in examining and defining the role of communication across the cancer continuum -- from prevention and detection, to diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. The group has a particular interest in how inequalities in the distribution of communication resources and channels relate to health disparities. This website is a resource for researchers, students, and practitioners interested in health communication, particularly as it relates to cancer disparities.
Center for Community Based Research, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute - The Center for Community-Based Research is part of Population Sciences, a research group within Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Department of Medical Oncology. CCBR is unique among the Institutes programs because it focuses on research with the community to study the most effective ways to prevent cancer. In addition, CCBRs work is part of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center Risk Reduction Program. CCBR is also the home of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center Health Communication Core.
