Research
Dr. Lange is the director of the Laboratory for Statistical Neuroimaging (LSN) at McLean Hospital, Mailman Research Center.
The LSN focuses on biostatistical methodology and its applications in in vivo and postmortem brain imaging of humans and animals. Research interests center on the following areas: pediatric brain development, functional and anatomical magnetic resonance imaging, magnetic resonance spectroscopy and brightfield microscopy for brain tissue analysis of gene expression and interacting levels of neurotransmitters across a variety of brain structures.
LSN staff works closely with McLean scientists in these research areas as a peer team members, as well as conduct independent methodological research in neuroimaging biostatistics. The LSN houses a high-objective brightfield and immuno-fluorescence Zeiss microscope, as well as a host of computer hardware and statistical and image analysis software. McLean Hospital houses a shared electron microscope.
