Steve Kadish is the Director of the Division of Social Medicine and Health Inequalities at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He is a senior planning consultant with the FXB Center. He has nearly 20 years experience in health care administration, financial management, operations, information technology projects, real estate planning and development, project management and strategic planning. Mr. Kadish has served in several key leadership positions for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including Undersecretary for Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Administration and Finance, and Assistant Commissioner for Medical Assistance (Medicaid). He was the Assistant Vice Chancellor for the University of Massachusetts Medical School, responsible for the operations of the Jamaica Plain campus and assisted with the strategic development of the new research building. As the Senior Vice President for Administration and Project Management at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Mr. Kadish played a critical role in the financial and operational turn-around of this non-profit health management organization. He has provided strategic planning and project management consultations to a variety of health and human services organizations, including Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania, AIDS Action, Neighborhood Health Plan and Riverside Human Services. Mr. Kadish received his BA from Tufts University in 1978.
