Monika Szperka, Program Assistant

Monika Szperka is the FXB Center’s Program Assistant. She provides administrative and financial support to the Center’s various projects and programs. Ms. Szperka was born and raised in Poland, but her interest in other cultures and religions took her to Gaming, Austria, where she completed a one-year program at the Language and Catechetical Institute. She was then granted a scholarship to study Philosophy and Theology for her B.A. at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. While working as a religious instructor in a South Boston parish, Ms. Szperka was an active member of Catholic-Jewish Young Adult Council of Greater Boston. She received her Master of Theological Studies in the area of non-Christian religions from Harvard Divinity School. She has a keen interest in interfaith dialogue, human rights and feminist issues. Before coming to the Center, she worked as a Library Assistant at the Harvard Theological Library and a Research Assistant at the Slavic Department, Harvard University.
