Features and Amenities

Shattuck International House consists of 70 apartments in three connected apartment buildings. Shattuck International House is approximately a ten minute walk from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Each of the 70 apartments is furnished with a standard selection of furniture, and each has a full kitchen and bath. Please see below for additional information on:

 

Apartment Configurations and Options

One Bedroom Apartment
One bedroom apartments have a separate living area, kitchen, and bath. Sizes vary from 300 – 600 sq.ft.

Two Bedroom Apartment
Two bedroom apartments have a separate living area, kitchen, and bath. These units are normally rented by families with one or two children. Families with three or more children should explore other housing options, as the apartments are not adequately furnished for large families. Sizes vary from 500 – 700 sq.ft.

Shared Two Bedroom Apartment
Two bedroom apartments where an applicant may rent one of the bedrooms and will be assigned a roommate. Sizes vary from 500 – 700 sq.ft.

Apartment Furniture

The standard furniture package in each apartment includes the items below. For two-bedroom apartments, bedroom furniture and desks are included in each bedroom.

  • Full-size XL mattress and bedframe (80”x54”)
  • Night stand
  • Armoire
  • Underbed storage drawers
  • Desk and desk chair
  • Living area seating (arm chair and/or loveseat depending on apartment size and configuration)
  • Floor lamp
  • Coffee table and end table
  • Kitchen table and chairs, or breakfast bar stools (depending on apartment size and configuration)
  • Overhead lighting in all rooms

Shattuck House Events
Most residents participate in frequent all-house activities such as potlucks and world celebrations. Other friends enjoy more casual dinners together, hanging out to watch movies, playing ping-pong, or dancing salsa!
