Before you start your search, ask yourself:

• How much money can I spend living in Boston: rent, utilites, transportation, food, clothing, textbooks, socializing, sightseeing, etc…?
• How much time can I spend: studying, researching, teaching, networking, commuting, socializing, traveling, etc…?
