Things to Consider
Before you start your search, ask yourself:
- How much money can I spend living in Boston: rent, utilites, transportation, food, clothing, textbooks, socializing, sightseeing, etc…?
- How much time can I spend: studying, researching, teaching, networking, commuting, socializing, traveling, etc…?
Before signing a lease there are a few more things to consider, including, but not limited to: apartment condition, utilities, furnishings, appliances, landlords, sublets, pets and insurance. For information on these topics, visit our Choosing An Apartment
page. Know your rights and resources: The City of Boston’s Rental Housing Resource Center
