The HSPH Department of Information Technology welcomes new hire, Nathan Varney. Nathan will work as a user support specialist in our User Services Group and will provide helpdesk, desktop, classroom, and media services support to the community.
Nathan is a graduate of University of South Florida with a degree in electrical engineering.
Nathan spent 3 years at USF Academic Computing facility providing computer support to faculty and students. The USF Academic Computing Facility is a busy hub providing support to a population of more than 44,000 faculty, staff and students and receives thousands of calls weekly during peek time periods. Nathan has extensive experience with PC/Windows environment and many types of software. He provided support to faculty and students on USF’s courseware powered by Blackboard/WebCT.
Nathan also spent time working at Ch2M Hill in Orlando providing support for on-line meetings as well as audio-visual support for conference rooms and other venues.
