Comcast Issue

UPDATE: The issue with email connectivity for users outside of the School was resolved. There was a problem with a piece of Comcast’s networking equipment. It was fixed and regular connectivity was restored.

Good afternoon,

Harvard University’s Network Services Group has reported that off-site (ie: non-campus and home) locations that use Comcast as their Internet Service Provider are experiencing intermittent network connectivity issues.  These issues in result have created significant slowness/disconnections when communicating with all Harvard systems including email.  The issues are not Harvard or HSPH email/server problems.

Harvard’s Networking team is working with Comcast to resolve this issue.
