Are there times when instant messaging (IM) would be quicker and more efficient than email exchanges?
Would you like to quickly share your desktop for more effective collaboration?
The Department of Information Technology is pleased to announce the rollout of a new product called Microsoft Lync. Lync is an easy-to-use software that integrates with Outlook and Office 2010 and offers the following features:
- Instant Messaging (replaces GroupWise Messenger)
- Multipoint desktop video conferencing (requires desktop video camera)
- Desktop sharing
- Presence (shows your and other’s current status integrating with Outlook calendar)

The HSPH Helpdesk will host product demonstration on:

Lync is offered free of charge to all HSPH faculty and staff.
It takes just a few minutes to install!
We encourage users to try the product in workgroups to test out features.
