UPDATE: All systems are fully operational.
Yesterday morning the University managed email system (ICEMAIL) experienced delivery problems between Harvard and the outside world.
HUIT has confirmed that messages coming in between 7:00 AM – 8:45 AM yesterday morning from outside Harvard bounced back to senders as undelivered.
During this same time period yesterday, any messages sent from Harvard to the outside world went into a queue, and were later delivered once the problem was resolved in Cambridge. Email within Harvard was not affected by this problem.
All mail delivery was back to normal by 11:00 AM.
–UPDATE AT 9:46AM–
Email access is functioning properly. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the HSPH Help Desk.
If there are any other system issues, please watch this space for notification.
–UPDATE AT 9:25AM–
Email access is currently degraded; we will update this post once functionality is completely restored.
As of 7:10 am, the Outlook/Icemail system is not functioning properly for external incoming and outgoing mail. Internal mail is fully operational.
Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) is actively working on the issue.
