I was warmed when the announcement came through that Sarah Bearse had won this year's Harvard Hero award.

I recall how truly helpful she was when I was Program Manager for Ethical Issues in Global Health Research, and she helped us think through the possibilities of our developing an online version of the EIGHR/EIIHR course so that our developing world associates could get value for less money, while reducing our costs.

She patiently spelled out all the technical possibilities, then we worked on that year's immediate technical needs.

Thanks, Sarah - and thanks to ALL of HSPH's IT heroes, too!
