The Department of Information Technology will be performing important infrastructure maintenance work that will take place Wednesday, May 8th, on the ALICE and MyHSPH Student Information Systems (SIS). This work is part of our migration project to newly purchased back-end storage systems.

The work is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8th, from 9:30pm – 11:30pm. The following systems will be affected:

• MyHSPH Portal
• ALICE Self Service for Students and Faculty
• Internet-native Banner (Administrative users)

The work is scheduled for one hour this evening between 8:30pm and 9:30pm.  The following systems will be affected:

  • ALICE Self Service for Students and Faculty
  • Internet Native Banner (Administrative users)

Additionally, at 8:30 pm and for approximately 5-10 minutes, we will be conducting a stress test on our web server to test enhancements recently made to the infrastructure.  You may experience slowness on http://www.hsph.harvard.edu during the test.

In 2012, all faculty and staff were migrated from Groupwise to Microsoft Outlook/Exchange from January through June.  In the fall, all students were migrated from Groupwise to Gmail.
