New User Account Info

Your Novell edirectory and Outlook/Exchange accounts have been created.

Below is some information as to what each login covers:

1. Novell edirectory(computer login)/ALICE/MYHSPH/Accellion/Origin/iPrint:

  • Username = abc123
  • Password = HsphXXXXXX (Where XXXXXX is the first 6 digits of your Harvard ID)
  • Please open up a web browser:
    • Go to password.sph.harvard.edu and login with your Novell username/password
    • Answer the security questions if prompted to.
    • Once complete there will be a selection on the left hand side to ‘Change Password’
    • Please change your password, all the prerequisites will be listed on the page.

Note: If you do not change your password you will run out of Grace Logins and will no longer be able to login to your Novell account.

2. Outlook Email/3+3/ADID/Lync  Messenger:

  • Username = abc123
  • Password = HsphXXXXXX (Where XXXXXX is the first 6 digits of your Harvard ID)
  • Please open up a web browser:
    • Go to prm.university.harvard.edu and type in your username and the security message then click search.  If prompted select the Display Name that matches your name
    • Click “Register with Password Manager” and login with your username/password
    • You will then be prompted to fill out 6 security questions, please fill all of them out.
    • When complete click “Go To Homepage”
    • Click “Manage My Passwords” and login again with your username/password
    • This will now prompt you to change your password (typically we have people change this password to match your Novell password, so you only need to remember one password).
    • Please visit icemail.harvard.edu and login with your username and new password.
    • Compose a new message as a test message and have someone send you a test message to make sure your email is sending and receiving properly.

3. HUID/PIN – Primary uses are for Harvie/Peoplesoft/Anything that asks for your Login ID or says Harvard University Pin System at the top.

  • Username = (The first 8 characters of your HUID)
  • Visit www.pin.harvard.edu and then click “Request a new PIN…”
  • Fill out all of the information and then click Submit.
  • Then Click the option that says “Email the PIN activation instructions to my registered Email address” and click submit.
  • You will receive instructions in your HSPH email.
