How do I login to MyHSPH portal?

For most users, the user name and password for MyHSPH are the same as those for your GroupWise e-mail account.

When can I access MyHSPH portal?

24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Access may be unavailable during regular system maintenance downtime, usually after 7:00 PM on the second Thursday of each month. Watch for announcements from the IT Help Desk. 

I get a message saying that the account is disabled when I try to login.

Your MyHSPH account will be locked after 5 failed attempts to sign in with the wrong password. Call the Help Desk at 2-HELP (617-432-4357) for assistance.

MyHSPH login page won’t load. What do I do?

If you are running a personal firewall software, disable it and try loading the page again.

Who can I contact regarding MyHSPH login or password issues?

Why do I occasionally get logged out of MyHSPH portal?

The timeout within MyHSPH portal is 30 minutes if there is no activity

PASSWORD QUESTIONS

Remember: For most people, the user name and password for MyHSPH are the same as those for your GroupWise e-mail account.

I am a new student or employee. Do I need to reset my initial GroupWise e-mail password?

Yes, it needs to be reset to a password of your choosing.

How do I change my GroupWise e-mail and MyHSPH password?

Select “Options/Password” within GroupWise. This will change your MyHSPH, GroupWise, and Novell password at the same time. Please visit http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/groupwise to change your GroupWise password.

How often do I need to change my GroupWise e-mail password?

Anytime you wish. You will be prompted to change it the first time you login if you are a new student or employee and then yearly after that.

I am a student, and the default GroupWise password on the Registrar’s email I received does not work. What do I do?

GROUPWISE E-MAIL QUESTIONS

How do I access my GroupWise e-mail?

Through MyHSPH or the School’s home page or by visiting http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/groupwise. You may also have the e-mail application installed on your computer.

What is my GroupWise e-mail address?

Your GroupWise e-mail address is the same as your MyHSPH user name followed by @hsph.harvard.edu (e.g. username@hsph.harvard.edu). New students will receive an e-mail notification from the Registrar’s Office about their HSPH e-mail address.

Can I change my GroupWise e-mail address?   

No, you are assigned an e-mail address that can’t be altered.

BROWSER INFORMATION

Can I use IE 6.0 to access MyHSPH portal?

No, you may upgrade your workstation from IE 6.0 to IE 7.0 or higher. HSPH members may download Internet Explorer IE 7.0 by going to http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/it and clicking the Downloads link on the left hand side of the page. Harvard PIN required.

What browsers should I use to access MyHSPH?

Internet Explorer (IE) version 7.0 or higher; Firefox version 2.0 or 3.0; Google Chrome 4.0; or Safari.

ALICE INFORMATION

What is ALICE?

ALICE (Accessible Link to Information on Classes and Enrollment) is the name of the system that houses information about admissions, courses, registration, reporting requirements for grants, and other student services information.

How do I access ALICE?

Through MyHSPH. You will see a tab called “Student OneStop” or “Teaching and Advising Tool.”

How can I see student- or faculty-related tabs in MyHSPH if they’re not there when I login?

iSites Information

How do I get to my class’ iSites website?

Click on the “Student OneStop” or “Teaching and Advising Tool” tab. You will see a box called “My iSite Courses.”
