I am an Instructor at Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women’s Hospital and a Research Associate in Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. My research focuses on prostate cancer epidemiology. My major focus is on nutritional epidemiology, and I have done work on how intakes of coffee, calcium, and phosphorus affect prostate cancer risk and survival. More recently, my focus has broadened to include tumor biomarkers, including protein and gene expression data from prostatectomy specimens. I am particularly interested in how bone-related tumor characteristics and characteristics of the bone environment affect prostate cancer progression, and in how these factors might interact with diet and lifestyle.
