Dr. Schaider’s research interests lie at the intersection of environmental engineering, environmental chemistry, and public health. She is interested in understanding how contaminants move in the environment and how the forms of the contaminants affect human exposure. She is also interested in developing community-based participatory research projects that involve community members in study design and implementation and effectively communicate study findings to a wide range of audiences.
