Research Interests
Obesity represents a condition where the proper sensing and management of nutrients and energy status presents significant challenges at the cellular level. Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved cellular homeostatic process involved in the bulk degradation of cellular components. The goal of my study is to determine the physiological and pathophysiological consequences of the connection between autophagy and ER stress in metabolic homeostasis.
