MassCONECT
What's Happening in Boston. Alliance for Community Health is providing mini-grants to participating neighborhood groups for locally chosen projects that address cancer disparities. REACH 2010 Breast and Cervical Cancer Coalition was recently designated as a REACH U.S. New England Center of Excellence in the Elimination of Disparities by the U.S. CDC.

What's Happening in Lawrence.
The Mayor's Health Task Force has among its top three priorities the increase of access and use of mammography screening services city-wide. Partnered with other organizations, three successful breast screening events were held through the use of the Dana Farber/Boston Mammography Van.

What's Happening in Worcester.
Common Pathways organized community participation within focus-group discussions about their beliefs regarding cancer information, screening, treatment, and available support. Information learned will serve as a basis for developing culturally competent initiatives serving community needs working to reduce cancer disparities.
