About the Campaign Director
Cathy Barber, MPA, directs the Means Matter Campaign at the Harvard School of Public Health's Injury Control Research Center (HICRC). She led the effort to design and pilot-test a prototype (www.nviss.org) for the Centers for Disease Control's National Violent Death Reporting System and co-founded the National Center for Suicide Prevention Training (www.ncspt.org). The goal of the Means Matter campaign is to educate suicide prevention coalitions about the link between firearms and suicide. Ms. Barber's interests focus on developing injury surveillance systems and using data from those systems to inform public policy. Her Masters in Public Administration is from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

About the Project Manager
Mary Vriniotis, MS received her Masters in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2004. Since then she has been a Research Specialist and Communications Liaison for the Harvard Injury Control Research Center and the Harvard Youth Violence Prevention Center at the Harvard School of Public Health. She has co-authored several manuscripts on firearms research in the U.S. and presented at various national and international conferences. She is the Project Manager for the Boston Data Project and the Means Matter Campaign.
