Housing Resources for M.S. in Health Care Management Students

Please note that the Harvard School of Public Health is located in Boston, in the Longwood Medical Area. The closest subway stop is Longwood on the E line. We encourage the use of public transportation as there are no parking facilities at the school; however, the many local hospitals have parking garages that some students like to use. The Children's Hospital garage is the closest, followed by the Brigham's.

Students are responsible for their own housing during the program. Here are some general guidelines and suggestions:

The Harvard School of Public Health does not provide business support services to students; if you anticipate a need to send and receive faxes, fedex packages, and phone messages, and need access to xerox machines, be sure to choose a hotel than can provide those services for you. We recommend that you bring a cell phone, as there are often lines for the public phones.

Boston's hotel rates vary considerably by season. September and May rates are often high, with Janaury and March much lower. It is possible to negotiate very favorable rates by emphasizing that the total hotel nights you are requesting include dates in the slow volume months. Ask for the Harvard rate, but be aware that students often receive better deals as individuals than as Harvard affiliates.

Book in advance, especially for September dates.

Book for graduation a year in advance. Graduation is usually the first Thursday after the first Monday in June.
