Biography
Mike is an NCI Cancer Prevention Fellow in the Center for Community Based Research (CCBR) at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard School of Public Health. He holds a doctorate in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and comes to CCBR following earlier careers  as a communication and journalism professor and radio journalist.
Mike’s research interests are focused on stress-related cognitive impairments and the impacts of chronic stress on the health behaviors of disadvantaged populations. He will also join in the Viswanath Lab’s efforts to better understand the social and political forces that shape the work of health and science journalists.
