2009 Non-Clinical Biostatistics Conference

Announcement

  October 21-23, 2009, Boston, MA

   organized jointly by
The Non-Clinical Biostatistics Leaders Forum
and
The Program on Quantitative Sciences in Medicine
Department of Biostatistics, Harvard School of Public Health

The conference will take place October 21 - 23, 2009 at the Harvard Medical School's Joseph B. Martin Conference Center in Boston, in the midst of one of the premier biotechnology and medical research hubs in the U.S.  Under the theme of Statistical Methodologies: Key to Discovery, Safety Assessment and Development it will provide a great opportunity to discuss scientific issues and to network and share experiences with other professionals involved in non-clinical biostatistics, an area that over the last few years has emerged as a vibrant and challenging topic of its own.

This is the first conference in the U.S. fully devoted to non-clinical biostatistics.  It is organized jointly by the Non-Clinical Biostatistics Leaders Forum, a group of professional statisticians representing pre-clinical and non-clinical statistics groups from major pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and the Program on Quantitative Sciences in Medicine, Department of Biostatistics, Harvard School of Public Health.

The conference is also supported and endorsed by the Biopharmaceutical Section of the American Statistical Association, the Adolphe Quetelet Society, a section of the International Biometric Society, and the National Institute of Statistical Sciences (NISS).

Registration and a call for abstracts has started in March.  Questions, suggestions and comments can be directed to info@ncb2009.org.
