Students ‘hack’ Ebola

Harvard School of Public Health was well-represented at the Harvard HackEbola (with Data!) event, held November 21-23, 2014. Students and researchers worked in teams to develop methods for more effective data mining to predict Ebola cases, and one group later announced plans to continue their collaboration on a research paper. Hilarie Cranmer was an organizer and mentor for a separate Stop Ebola Hack-a-thon held at Massachusetts General Hospital.
