New HarvardX course focuses on pressing issues in global health

How do experts predict global disease patterns? How do they decide which health care interventions to use in the case of an epidemic, disaster, or armed conflict? Is there a way to end diseases like guinea worm and polio?

These issues and more will be the focus of Readings in Global Health, a new free online course offered through HarvardX. Taught by David Hunter, Acting Dean and Dean of Academic Affairs at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the seven-week introductory course, which begins January 25, 2016, will feature leading experts discussing current issues and challenges in global health. Sign up for the course.

In addition, HarvardX is offering several other courses in global health in the coming weeks.
