In Q&A, Robert Farese talks about his research and lab

Earlier this year the Endocrine Society awarded Robert V. Farese, Jr., professor of genetics and complex diseases at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Roy O. Greep Award for Outstanding Research for his work on how alterations in lipid synthesis and storage contribute to the development of diseases such as type 2 diabetes.

To mark the honor, Endocrine News featured a Q&A with Farese in its October 2018 issue, which covered everything from the importance of choosing good lab partners to the origins of his award-winning research efforts. Farese noted that his training in medicine helped spark an interest in cholesterol metabolism and heart disease, which opened the door to his current research.
