Unity Reception pays tribute to Black History Month

Unity Reception 2015 photoThe deans, faculty, students and staff at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health came together February 26, 2015 for the 7th Annual Unity Reception in the FXB Atrium. In his welcoming remarks, Dean Julio Frenk acknowledged the origins of the event as a tribute to Black History Month and the its salience as the School and the nation continue to grapple with racial justice. Dale Trevino, director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, also took the opportunity to highlight the work of the Harvard Chan School Student Ambassadors who work across the School to address diversity and inclusion at all levels. Meredith Rosenthal, professor of health economics and policy and associate dean for diversity, also spoke.
