News at HSPHThe Health Care Reform Commission of Vermont has chosen William Hsiao, professor of economics, to design three new health care models for the state. According to the Times Argus, two of the models will be a single-payer system and a public health insurance model. Hsiao has assisted Taiwan, Cyprus, Mexico, Colombia, China, and Sweden and other countries in their health system reforms.
