Plant proteins from sources such as beans and nuts may be healthier alternatives to proteins derived from animal sources when cutting carbs from the diet, according to a study described in USA Today. HSPH’s Frank Hu and Teresa Fung are quoted and are authors of the study, which followed more than 85,000 women and more than 44,500 men over decades.
