Gregory N. Connolly, professor of the practice of public health at HSPH and director of HSPH’s Center for Global Tobacco Control, is spotlighted in the March-April 2011 issue of Harvard Magazine for his far-reaching anti-tobacco efforts.
Before coming to HSPH, Connolly spent 17 years with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health where he oversaw a tobacco-control campaign that included a series of controversial, but effective, anti-smoking advertisements. He also helped Armenia, Greece, and other nations develop anti-tobacco campaigns.
