Welcome
Welcome to the Public Health Practitioner Website. The Practitioner is an electronic newsletter and resource to the Student Advisory Committee (SAC) and student body of the Harvard School of Public Health. Within these pages, you will find information about the SAC, its programming and activities, and involvement with the Division of Public Health Practice.
About SAC
The Student Advisory Committee provides an avenue for students to work with the Division of Public Health Practice in advancing Public Health leadership to the students at HSPH. Students participate in the planning and implementation of the Public Health Speakers Series and Division Advisory Council Meetings. This committee meets monthly and is comprised of students from all departments within the School. SAC is made up of nine subcommittees, who work hard throughout the year to bring a diverse range of opportunities to fruition.
SAC membership is a selective process and is renewed each year. To apply for membership to this committee, students are asked to complete a short application. Selections for participation are based on student's major, interest, and career experiences.
About the Practitioner
The Practitioner aims to raise awareness about the individuals and organizations who make public health practice their corporate and social responsibility by highlighting the impact that leadership and collaboration have on making sustainable change across the public and private sectors. This forum lets students engage with and learn from practitioners in the field who uphold these standards.
