Creating a page or submenu item
To create a new page or submenu item, please do the following:
- Select the PAGE/SUB MENU MANAGER button from the CONTROL PANEL
- Select NEW

- Enter the TITLE of the page
- Enter the MENU item that the page is associated with
- Enter the PAGE TYPE of the page [see below]
- Enter YES for whether the page is to be published
- Enter an optional description.

- Click SAVE

- Return to the CONTROL PANEL and add content items to your new page.
Example Pages and SubMenu Items
- Each menu item has a default page associated with it.
- You may also create additional pages beneath the menu items (submenu items).
- Pages may also be linked to from pieces of content around the HSPH website.
In the following menu example:
CMS Manual is a Menu item.
On the PAGE/SUBMENU MANAGER PAGE 
This page is referred to as DEFAULT PAGE for CMS Manual section
Additional pages have been created for:
- Creating and Editing Content
- Managing Menu Items
- Uploading Documents and Images
- Launching Your Website
Using the content manager, one or more pieces of content have been associated with pages.
In the Page/Sub Menu Manager you may select how the content pieces will appear on the page by using the EDIT button
.
The current choices are:
- Normal view -- stacks pieces of content one after the other on the page
- Summarzied view -- create a blog-like list of content with a MORE button to read entire item. The text for the introduction may be auto generated or generated by the content publisher.
- External Link -- item links directly to a web page outside of their site
- Internal Feed -- allows for database feeds into page (i.e., press releases, HPH Now article citations, global map projects listings; admin use only)
