Creating a new menu item
To create a new menu item, please do the following:
- Login to http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/publisher with your Harvard ID and PIN
- You should be forwarded to your CONTROL PANEL for your site

- Please note that there is HELP specific to each page in the upper right hand corner. Help explains each field and icon on the page.

- Select MENU MANAGER

- Select NEW

- Enter a TITLE for the menu item. We recommend keeping the menu items short. Single line menu items are most effective.
- Choose whether you want the MENU item published or not. For new menu items, generally the option would be YES. If you later want to turn off a menu item temporarily, toggle the publish to NO.
- Enter a description for your reference (optional).
- Click SAVE to save your menu item and to return to the MENU MANAGER PAGE
- You may sort menu items by dropping and dragging them to the desired order.
- After your menu items are created, go to CONTENT MANAGER and create pieces of content for the pages of your menu items. By default, creating a MENU ITEM creates a page on the page manager called Default Page for Menu Item. You may create multiple pages for each menu item by using the page manager and then putting content pieces on those pages.
