External Advisory Board

The Center’s External Advisory Board (EAB) provides periodic evaluation and advice to the Center Director and Executive Committee. The EAB consists of five scientists who are each distinguished in an area of environmental health science and are familiar with the Core Center concept and goals, as Center Directors currently or recently at other institutions.

Dr. David L. Eaton, Associate Vice Provost for Research and Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of Washington School of Public Health, and Director of the NIEHS Center for Ecogenetics and Environmental Health (Rotating off the board in 2013, to be replaced by Dr. Leona Samson, below)

Dr. Michael A. Gallo, Professor in the School of Public Health, and former Director of the NIEHS Center for Environmental Health, UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

Dr. John Groopman, Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and Director of the NIEHS Center in Urban Environmental Health

Dr. Andij Holian, Professor of Toxicology in the Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Montana, Missoula, and Director of the NIGMS Center for Environmental Health Sciences

Dr. Leona Samson, Professor of Biological Engineering and former Director of the NIEHS Core Center, the Center for Environmental Health Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Dr. Regina M. Santella, Professor in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences, and Director of the NIEHS Center for Environmental Health in Northern Manhattan, at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
