Does bisphenol A — used to make a hard plastic called polycarbonate
found in some baby bottles, sports bottles, and other consumer items —
pose a risk to human health such that it should be banned and replaced
with alternative compounds?

More than 70 Percent of HSPH Employees Completed Staff Survey
More than two-thirds of HSPH employees took the opportunity to provide
input on their work experience at Harvard by completing the “What’s
Your Harvard Like 2008” staff survey. The survey ran from October 22
through November 9 and polled employees Harvard-wide about their
perceptions of numerous aspects of their employment experience at
Harvard, including compensation, benefits, and work/life balance.
Bruce Smith Honored by Local Anti-Poverty Group for Community Efforts
Bruce Smith, director of community and government relations at HSPH,
has built bridges of trust and credibility between HSPH and the Mission
Hill community. And now, Smith’s record of successful
collaborative projects between the School and the public has won him
recognition as an honoree by the Action for Boston Community
Development, Inc. (ABCD).
