The HSPH Center for Public Health Preparedness and MassCONECT sponsored the 16th Annual HSPH Community Partnership Day on September 27. Included was a panel discussion on the new Massachusetts law on health insurance that featured Nancy Turnbull, president, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, and HSPH senior lecturer; Rosemarie Day, chief operating officer, Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority; Garth Graham, deputy assistant secretary, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health; Milagro Grullon, chief neighborhood planner, City of Lawrence, MA; and John McDonough, executive director, Health Care for All.
Also featured was an information fair that included representatives of agencies such as the Alliance for Community Health, Mattapan Community Health Center, and the Women's Health Network.
