'Your Disease Risk' Stops Traffic

HSPH members may have noticed a slow-down in the School's Internet service on October 31. The reason: the web site Your Disease Risk experienced 13 to 14 times its usual traffic after a columnist in the Wall Street Journal described the site as "one of the best health-oriented sites on the Web." The site is managed by the Harvard Center for Cancer Prevention.

Volunteer for Senior Citizen Dinner and Dance

Volunteers are needed for the School's Annual Holiday Senior Citizens Dinner/Dance. The event will be held on Friday, December 1, in the Kresge cafeteria. Volunteers greet and seat attendees, help with coats and jackets - while enjoying an evening of music, food, and dancing.

Volunteers are asked to meet in the Kresge Atrium by 4:45 p.m. on the day of the dance. The celebration ends at 7:30 p.m.

Attendees come from local neighborhoods.
