Schwartz Joins Hammitt as HCRA Director
Joel Schwartz, professor of environmental epidemiology in the Department of Environmental Health, has joined James Hammitt, professor of economics and decision sciences in the Department of Health Policy and Management, as a director of the Harvard Center for Risk Analysis (HCRA).
Founded in 1989, HCRA is a multidisciplinary group of faculty, research staff, students, and visiting scholars who work together to improve decisions about environmental and public health problems.
Last year, Michael Huguenin, an entrepreneur and environmental consultant, joined HCRA as executive director. Since then, the Center has refocused on environmental and public health risk analysis. HCRA has also moved from 718 Huntington Avenue to the Landmark Center.
