Staff Photo Directory Launched Online

The HSPH Staff Photo Directory has launched. The directory lists information such as names, addresses, departments, phone numbers, and email addresses. Photos are from the Harvard ID system. The site is pin-enabled and accessible only to HSPH employees with a valid HU ID and pin #. The site is listed with links to the Faculty, Researcher, and Student Photo Directories on the Main Directory web page.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions are available online. Examples of questions are how to add and remove photos and how to correct information.

The Staff Photo Directory has been provided by Human Resources Office, Information Technology Department, Operations Office, Office for Academic Affairs, and Office of the Dean with support from the Office of Communications.

Berwick to Be Honored with Award

Donald Berwick

In recognition of his lifelong achievements and contributions to the field of health services research, Donald Berwick will receive the 2007 William B. Graham Prize for Health Services Research. Berwick is a clinical professor of pediatrics and health care policy in the Department of Pediatrics at HMS and a professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at HSPH. He also is president and CEO of the Institute for HealthCare Improvement.

The prize, sponsored by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) and the Baxter International Foundation, will be awarded on Saturday, June 2, at the AUPHA annual meeting in Orlando, FL.

The prize acknowledges national or international contributions of health services researchers who apply analytic methods to examine and evaluate the organization, financing, and/or delivery of health services.

Daffodil Days Are Here Again

HSPH members are invited to brighten their day with daffodils, while raising money for cancer efforts. Bouquets of 10 daffodils may be purchased at a cost of $7, or a teddy bear may be delivered with the flowers for $25. Checks may be made payable to the American Cancer Society. Contact department administrators for information on how to place an order. The deadline for ordering daffodils is Friday, March 2. The daffodils will be delivered on Monday, March 19.
