With the weather finally starting to feel like spring, the 11th Annual Mission Hill Walk for Health went off without a hitch on Saturday, April 21. Approximately 300 people participated, helping to raise funds for organizations around Mission Hill that serve local youth. Approximately $40,000 in donations has been tallied so far, according to Laura Baringer of the Mission Hill Youth Collaborative.

This year, the walk was incorporated into a larger event called "Mission on the Move" that promoted community health and a Mission Hill Youth Forum. The walk was also lengthened from three miles to five miles and took a new route around the neighborhood. Festivities included music, food, and a job fair. Ron Bell, director of the Public Liaison Office for Massachusetts, was the keynote speaker.
HSPH was a co-sponsor of the walk.
