Lin develops advanced statistical methods for analyzing correlated and high-dimensional data in cancer research, especially for analyzing longitudinal and familial data, and high-dimensional genomic and proteomic data in epidemiological studies and population sciences.
Levy Receives Air Quality Grant from Mayor's Office
Jonathan Levy, Mark and Catherine Winkler Associate Professor of Environmental Health and Risk Assessment at HSPH, was recently awarded a grant by the City of Boston to study transportation and air quality issues in the Mission Hill neighborhood. This community-based study, in collaboration with the Mission Hill Health Movement, will involve local high school students through the Research Apprenticeship Program at HSPH and elsewhere. The project was one of six provided funding through the city.
Mayor Thomas Menino has announced a series of actions and goals to mitigate the effects of climate change. He has proposed that by the year 2012, Boston will reduce emissions seven percent below 1990 levels. By 2050, the city aims to achieve 80 percent below 1990 levels.
