Faculty Appointments

Quan Lu has been appointed assistant professor of lung biology in the Department of Environmental Health.

Marc Weisskopf has been appointed Mark and Catherine Winkler Assistant Professor of Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology in the Department of Environmental Health.


Zelen to Give COPSS Fisher Lecture at Statistical Meeting

Marvin Zelen, professor of statistical science in the HSPH Department of Biostatistics and Member of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, will deliver the COPSS Fisher Lecture at the 2007 Joint Statistical Meetings on August 1 in Salt Lake City, UT. The Fisher Lectureship, awarded annually by the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS), honors Sir Ronald Aylmer Fisher and recognizes a leading current-day statistician who has contributed significantly to scientific investigation through the development and promotion of statistical methods.


New Name for Sustainability Team

The HSPH Sustainability Team has a new name and logo. Eco-Opportunity was suggested by Tiffany Colt from HSPH Operations. For more information, see the Harvard Green Campus Initiative.


Learning and Development Opportunities in LMA

Human Resources has announced an enhanced partnership with Harvard Medical School's Center for Workplace Learning and Performance (CWLP) and OHR's Center for Workplace Development (CWD) in Cambridge. This partnership has resulted in the creation of a first-ever, University-wide career and professional development curriculum which launched on July 1. The curriculum addresses seven key content areas, including Career Development, Communication, Interpersonal Skills, Managing at Harvard, New Employee Onboarding, Performance Management, and Productivity. Courses will be offered throughout the year on both the Longwood and Cambridge campuses.
