Bruce Dorr, former manager of ancillary services in the HSPH Operations department, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2007. He was 68 years old.

Over his career, Dorr witnessed the transformation of the HSPH campus, including the openings of Buildings 1 and 2 in the 1960s and the later construction of the Kresge Building and Francóis-Xavier Bagnoud Building.
He saw the addition of several departments to the School as he worked at HSPH under the leadership of four deans. In 1978, Dorr left the School to work at HMS, but he returned to HSPH in 1987.
He semi-retired in 2002, serving as a consultant on laboratory procedures until 2007.
A memorial service was held on June 28.

Dorr was the husband of the late Margaret (Putnam) Dorr and father of Christopher Dorr of Sturbridge and Jennifer Dolbashian of Sutton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
