Marvin Zelen, Lemuel Shattuck Research Professor of Statistical Science, HSPH Department of Biostatistics, and Member of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, was honored at a reception on October 3 with the presentation of a specially commissioned portrait that will hang permanently outside of the Conference Room in the Department of Biostatistics on the Fourth Floor in Building 2. The portrait was painted by artist Susan Stone. The reception was organized by the Department of Biostatistics.

Zelen will deliver a lecture, "The Early Detection of Disease-Statistical Challenges: The R.A. Fisher Memorial Lecture (2007)," on Thursday, October 18, FXB G-13, 4-5 p.m.
