Heads Up! Human Resources Announces New Protocol for Sending Emails to HSPH Staff
Beginning Monday, March 31, there will be a new protocol for sending emails to HSPH staff. Human Resources will manage a weekly communication called Staff Heads Up that will gather in one mailing the news, events, and announcements that currently go out in an ad hoc manner to all HSPH staff. The first Staff Heads Up will be distributed on Tuesday, April 8.
Staff Heads Up will replace HR Heads Up and email sent to the Schoolwide staff email account.
New HR Web Site
Human Resources will launch a revamped web site on Monday, March 31. The new site uses the School’s Content Management System, which makes pages easier to search. The new site includes easy-to-find forms, links to other sites such as HARVie, information about training classes and benefits, and a PIN-enabled section that includes the submission form for the new Staff Heads Up.
"This effort is intended to streamline communication to staff about interesting events, important reminders, and announcements of interest," said Chris Ciotti, Associate Dean for Human Resources. "We hope that staff will find this new mailing useful as a means both to convey and to receive information."
To submit an announcement, go to the Human Resources web site and click "post an announcement." Announcements will be reviewed by Human Resources. Staff Heads Up will go out once a week on Tuesday. Submissions should be made no later than 3 p.m. on the Thursday before Staff Heads Up is scheduled to be sent.
Guidelines for Submission Approval:
1) Non-work related announcements (personal, charitable, items for sale, etc.) will not be approved for distribution as part of Staff Heads Up.
2) Submissions may be condensed before they are distributed to adhere to formatting parameters.
3) Human Resources will use its discretion and best judgment in interpreting these guidelines.
Emergency notices will not be included in this system.
