Emmanuela Gakidou, doctoral candidate in the Statistics and Evaluative Science concentration of the PhD Program in Health Policy, will present her thesis, "Health Inequality: Definition, Measurement and Determinants," on April 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room at the Center for Basic Research in the Social Sciences, 34 Kirkland St, Cambridge.

Clarissa Valim, doctoral candidate in the Department of Infectious Diseases, will take her oral examination on April 19 at 3:30 p.m. in SPH I-717. Major: epidemiology and infectious diseases and minors: biostatistics and epidemiology. David Wypij will chair the examination committee.

Susan Bronskill, doctoral candidate in the Statistics and Evaluative Science concentration of the PhD Program in Health Policy, will present her thesis, "Improving Comparisons in Health Services Research," on April 20 at 3:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room at the Department of Health Care Policy, 180 Longwood Avenue.

Marla Eisenberg, doctoral candidate in the Department of Health and Social Behavior, will present her thesis defense, "Social Influences on Health Behaviors of College Students with Same-Sex Experience," on April 24 at 2:00 p.m. in FXB G-12.

John Zupanic, doctoral candidate in the Department of Health Policy and Management, will present his thesis defense, "Economic Evaluation of Neonatal Intensive Care," on April 25 at 10:00 a.m. in FXB G-10.
