Brinkmann Fellowship

Applications are now being accepted for the annual Uwe Brinkmann Memorial Travel Fellowship, which is awarded each year to an outstanding doctoral student conducting field research in international health epidemiology at HSPH. The fellowship will provide $2,500 to support travel to a field research site and will be awarded to a doctoral student whose work exemplifies the interests and values of Brinkmann in bringing together international health epidemiology and infectious diseases.

Interested HSPH doctoral students who have successfully passed their oral qualifying examinations should submit application materials to Barbara Heil, Department of Population and International Health, SPH I-1104, by Friday, April 21. The students should explain in a letter the proposed research project, how the travel funds will be used, and how the research will further the fields of international health, epidemiology, and infectious diseases. Also needed is a letter of recommendation from an academic advisor.
