The event was hosted by Legal Seafoods CEO Roger Berkowitz, a member of the Nutrition Roundtable who has worked assiduously to make the foods served in his restaurants free from unhealthy trans fatty acids, replacing them with healthy oils.

Bestselling author of Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy Walter Willett, chair of the HSPH Department of Nutrition, delivered a talk on sorting through confusing nutrition news.

The Nutrition Round Table has volunteer members representing business leaders, restaurateurs, health educators, health care providers, writers, chefs, food critics, food and ingredient producers, doctors, philanthropists, and concerned citizens.

The Healthy Cup is given to an individual or group that has made significant contributions to public health and nutrition.
