Exams and Defenses

Tobias Kurth, doctoral student in the Department of Epidemiology, will present his thesis, "Hunting the Bias: Analytical Issues in Pharmacoepidemiology," on Tuesday, February 25 at 12:00 p.m. in Kresge 908.

Tarun Gupta, doctoral student in the Department of Environmental Health, will take his oral examination on Wednesday, February 26, at 10:00 a.m. in 414A Landmark Center. Major: exposure assessment; minors: air pollution, biostatistics. Helen Suh will chair the examination committee.

Anastasia Koutsolioutsou, doctoral student in the Department of Cancer Cell Biology, will present her thesis, "The Role of the soxRS Regulon in Providing Resistance to Antibiotics and the Reactive Nitrogen Species," on Wednesday, February 26 at 12:30 p.m. in FXB G-13.

Chien-Cheng Tseng, doctoral student in the Department of Biostatistics, will take his oral examination on Friday, February 28 at 8:00 a.m in SPHII-426. Major: biostatistics; minors: genetics and molecular biology and theoretical statistics. Jun Liu will chair the examination committee.

Esther Karen Wei, doctoral student in the Departments of Epidemiology and Nutrition, will present her thesis, "Etiology and Prevention of Colon and Rectal Cancer," on Friday, March 7 at 4:00 p.m. in FXB G-13.
